With a heavy heart, I had to say goodbye to my sweet girl Abby on March 4, 2026. For 15 wonderful years, she was by my side, filling my life with love, loyalty, and quiet companionship.
Abby may have been small, but she had the biggest heart. She had such a gentle spirit and a brave soul, and she always had a way of making everything feel a little better just by being near me. Whether she was curled up sleeping, going for a walk, or wagging her tail when I came home, Abby reminded me every day of the simple joys in life.
She had her own little routines that always made me smile. Abby absolutely loved her Greenies and never passed up the chance for a treat. One of her favorite things was sitting patiently next to her brother, Max, while he ate, happily enjoying the pieces of food he dropped for her. It was their little routine, and Abby made sure not a single crumb went to waste.
Abby wasn’t just my dog—she was my family. She shared our home with Chris and her dog brother, Max, bringing warmth, comfort, and laughter into our lives for many years. But above all else, Abby was my best friend and my soulmate, and the bond we shared was one of unconditional love that will stay with me forever.
She also had a special place she loved to go—Grandma Jan’s house. A trip to Grandma Jan’s was always one of her favorite adventures and something she looked forward to.
Even as she got older and the world became harder for her to see, Abby still showed the same quiet strength and love that defined her life. I will forever be grateful for every year, every tail wag, and every moment we shared together.
Though my heart is broken, I take comfort in knowing that Abby is now running free in heaven with her human brother, Carter.
Run free, my sweet Abby. You will always be loved, and you will always be in my heart. 🐾
