Dutchess Hamilton

Dutchess came into our lives on October 31, 2009 (Halloween).  We thought we needed a playmate for our one year old Princess.  Princess was not happy with the idea but after about a year she accepted the fact that Dutchess was here to stay and they became good buddies/sisters.  They traveled with us to many places in their car seats and even flew a couple of times under the seat in the airplane cabin. She was a good little traveler once sedated.
Dutchess has been a spunky little dog all her life flunking out of obedience school when we realized she had stopped eating rather than conform to their ways.  We did not wish her spirit to be broken.  That is what made Dutchess…Dutchess.  It took her awhile to befriend a stranger and sometimes never did. She had a personality like no other.  She could be demanding of her own time schedule. She always let us know when it was time to eat, go for walks, and even time to turn off the tv and go to bed. Afterall, a Princess and a Dutchess rules their own household.
She could be a real sweetheart too often cuddling up next to her sister, or mom or dad.
She loved to chase squirrels, ride in the golf cart and grandkid’s car, ride in her stroller or bicycle pulled cart, and take walks.  She was always ready to go usually leading the way.  She enjoyed a stroller ride through the house on her last day of life.
It was a difficult decision to let her go but cancer was taking over her body and she was very tired. She left this world very quickly and peacefully with her family by her side.
She will be greatly missed by her human mom and dad and her fur sister,
Princess.  We will always love you, Dutchess!
