Leroy Baker

Leroy came to me from Albany, Illinois—we met halfway in Johnson City, at a Dairy Queen that would become the starting point of loyalty, and companionship. From the very beginning, he was something special.

He had a spirit that was all his own. One of his favorite games was what I can only describe as a playful tug-of-war of wits—he was the “bear,” and I was the fisherman trying to retrieve what he had claimed as his prize.

If Leroy wasn’t chasing his beloved frisbee, he was searching tirelessly for it—combing every inch of the dog park until it was found. That frisbee was his joy, his purpose, and his pride. And when he wasn’t playing, he worked just as hard, giving his all to his obedience training.

Leroy loved the outdoors, but more than anything, he loved being by my side. Wherever I went, he followed faithfully. If you saw me, you saw Leroy. We were rarely apart. He also found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially trips to the beach, where he could run free and soak in every moment.

Leroy wasn’t just a dog, he was a constant presence, a loyal companion and will be deeply missed by his family Sarah, Valentine, Thunder Butt, and Loki.
