Opie “Boo Boo” Dodd

Opie met his mom and dad in October 2012 in Paducah, Kentucky, and from that moment on, he was home. As a young pup, he was mischievous and loved tearing up anything he could get his paws on. At age five, he met his first human sibling. Though unsure at first, he quickly grew to love her deeply. He later fell in love with two more human babies.

Opie was the best companion a family could ever hope for. Through every life change over the years, he remained a steady, loving presence — as long as he was with his family, nothing else mattered. He loved snuggles on the couch, treats, chest rubs, going to bed with his mom, and “sneaking” up on his fur siblings. He was a very vocal and bossy boy, always making sure his voice was heard.

Opie is preceded in death by his beloved fur sister, Chloe. He leaves behind his humans — Mom, Dad, Brooklynn, Brenna, and Tucker — as well as his fur sister, Penny.

Opie brought endless love, laughter, and comfort to his family. He will be missed beyond words but forever remembered in our hearts.
