Princess Corey Hill

Date of death: 04-25-2025

Princess Corey joined our family in January 2021. She was an older dog with some white on her muzzle. She had literally been living off the streets after being abandoned. Luckily for her she came across two angels named Vickie and Dave (our neighbors), two of her very favorite people, who fed her and gave her lots of love, and they told us about her situation.

The first day I met her was an extremely cold day in January. As soon as I met her, I wanted to bring her home with me. We introduced her to her brother, Parker, and found out she was scared of cats (we had 4), so she fit right in.

After begging for food and being fed by multiple people while living on the streets she had become very overweight and, with her arthritic hips and spine, it was painful to get up and down and to walk. Gradually over the next year she lost almost 30 pounds and was able to walk and run again and was able to enjoy life to its fullest. We found out she had heartworms, and she successfully underwent treatment. She was a healthy and happy dog until she was diagnosed with cancer in March 2025.

Over the brief 4 years and 4 months she was ours this beautiful girl was kind and loving to everyone she met. She never met a stranger.

Her favorite things were basking in the sun and has on occasion been known to flip onto her back to catch some rays on her belly too. She loved banana strings, and her eyes would light up at the mention of going for a ride in the car. Oh, and did I mention she loved to be petted too.

Our time with the princess was much too short but it was everything. She was pure and simple love wrapped in black fur. An unforgettable dog who we were lucky was ours even for a short time.

Princess Corey crossed the rainbow bridge on April 25, 2025, very unexpectedly and very peacefully. We love you forever and beyond sweet Corey. Rest in peace sweet baby.
