Rambo Davie

Our hearts are completely broken, as we had to unexpectedly say goodbye to our sweet baby, Rambo. He passed peacefully surrounded by people who loved him more than anything, and those people he also loved with his whole heart. Rambo was the most unique, special dog we had the pleasure of knowing.

There will never be a dog like him.

He was always filled with happiness and love. He was a huge part of our lives and was around and contributed to many stages throughout our lives the last 8 years.

Rambo was not just a dog, he was our child, our baby boy. He was our best friend, and the start of our family. Rambo was always the first to be there by your side if something was wrong, and he made sure to be the comfort you would need no matter what. Even through all his health issues of his own, he was pretty good at trying to reassure us he would be okay, and to not worry.

Even at the end, he still kept to that, by staying strong for us when we were not able to. Rambo’s brother, Scout, will miss him just as much as we are missing him now. I think he learned a lot from Rambo, and he will continue on to be very much like him as he grows older. Rambo was one of the brightest lights in our lives, and for me, he was what some call their “soul dog”. Rambo and I shared so much in common, and he truly understood me in ways nobody could. Life without him is hard to make sense of.

He loved his squeaky toys, chin & butt scratches, peanut butter bones, walks around the yard, being outside, and spending time with his Mama & Papa when they came over to visit, sleepovers and walks with his Grammy, and spending time with Taylor and I. He loved movie nights because he could watch tv but also get some popcorn from whoever would give it.

He will be missed by so many, and the love we have for Rambo does not leave with him. He will continue to forever be a part of us and always be in our lives in some way. We love you, buddy.

Dad and I hope you are squeaking all the squeaky toys you could ever dream of and hope you're enjoying your favorite peanut butter bones. May you rest peacefully, our sweet Rambo.
